Bend Beauty: Collagen Infused Chocolate Bark

Bend Beauty: Collagen Infused Chocolate Bark

I’m not just about infusing cannabis into foods.

Bend Beauty is one of my essential skin-care products that I can’t go without! I’ve always taken their Anti-Aging Formula, but more recently I started adding in their Marine Collagen + CoFactors and the results have been incredible.

Healthy, glowing skin. Noticeably smooth, silky hair and strong healthy nails after only 1 month of use. Oh, and my acne breakout was non-existent that I always get with change of seasons!

Bend has figured out the science of healing skin from the inside out. Their ingredients are natural, sustainable and work synergistically together and taste amazing! Their strawberry flavoured powder is easy enough to simply mix with water or my smoothie every morning, but I thought why not have some fun and  incorporate it into a yummy, collagen boosting treat? That’s right. Collagen-Infused Chocolate Bark. And if anyone asks – you can tell them chocolate is full of anti-oxidants, coconut is anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory and then hand them a piece of your superfood treat and their skin will thank you.

This is where it gets fun. You can incorporate any nut, seed, dried fruit/spice into this chocolate bark! Just keep the measurements the same.

Bend Beauty Collagen-Infused Chocolate Bark

Ingredients

  • ½ cup chopped pecans (or any other nut/dried fruit)
  • 1/3 cup coconut ribbons/flakes
  • 1/2 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup cocoa or cacao powder
  • 1/4 cup Bend Marine Collagen + CoFactors powder
  • pinch fine sea salt

Method

Gently melt the coconut oil in a double boiler/water bath. While you’re waiting, whisk the cocoa powder, Bend Marine Collagen powder and salt together.

Once the coconut oil is melted, add the maple syrup and stir into the dried ingredients until smooth.

Add a quarter of the pecans and coconut ribbons to the mixture and spread it out on a sheet pan lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with the remaining pecans and coconut ribbons and freeze for 15 minutes until firm, spreading it as thin or thick as you would like!

Invite over your girlfriends, have a party, and eat collagen chocolate. All of the cool kids are doing it!
